Operational since 1999, Glann ar Mor Distillery, located on the North Coast of Brittany, France, bottled its first unpeated single malt (Glann ar Mor) in late 2005, and its first peated single malt (Kornog, "West Wind" in Breton, about 30-35 ppm of phenol) in November 2009. The distillery is located on the seafront (Glann ar Mor means "At the edge of the sea" in Breton).
Glann ar Mor distillery stands out for traditional artisan production with wooden washtubs, worm tubs and "100% Live Flame".
Kornog was voted « European Whisky of the Year » in Jim Murray's « Whisky Bible 2016 ».
This Single Cask #937 was distilled in September 2008 and bottled at cask strength in December 2020. It was aged in a Sauternes Cask from Vignoble de Rayne Vigneau and yielded 239 bottles only and was bottled at 57.0%.
